The commemoration ceremony followed a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns reognizing veterans of the Korean War. The ceremony is part of the three year commemoration of the Korean War which began on June 24, 1950 and ended on July 27, 1953, with the signing of the armistice.
