I can't think of anything that would challenge it, unless it was Richardson's own last novel Sir Charles Grandison, but I think that's just a bit shorter. This Penguin one-volume edition is near quarto size with 1494 pages of pretty small text. This is the novel you'd want with you if you got stuck on a deserted island.
