Range allotments in the area had been permanently retired or on hold for several years, and the old fencing had deteriorated over time. Attendees broke out into teams, some working around the old cabin site at Aspen Spring, others working south in an area around an elk exclosure, and the rest working further south down the draw. Teams removed fence posts, rolled up barbed wire, disassembled gates, and repaired the elk exclosure. The end result was a section of trail more beautiful and safer than before.
