Ridgeway was the son of a Harley St specialist and he founded St Peter's Court in 1903 and was Headmaster until the 1950's, when Charles took over. Jean Ridgeway died on 2nd July 1971, just over 71 years after she came to St Peter's Court as a young bride and just two years after she left the school for the merger with Wellesley House in September 1969. She was much loved by all that knew her and had a nick-name "Mishay". St Peter's Court and Wellesley House merged in 1969. As a result of the genersoity of the Ridgeway family, the Junior School, Stage, Old Hall and Chapel were built in 1969.
