I have to confess that I do love extended opening hours, even though it makes things bloody awful for the poor retail staff. We ended up with Laura buying the most un-Laura-like shoes that the world has ever seen. I like them though! We binned the car in Dale Street (yes I'm tight, and Dale Street is free after six) and so on the way back we passed the Victoria Monument, perched defiantly on the former site of Liverpool Castle. Have I told you before that if you view it from the side it looks like she's holding a...yes, I'm sure I have. ;) Crazy but true, after work today we went into town to do some shopping.
