This is an Extec C12+ jaw crusher. You know those bark chippers where you stick in twigs and it spits out bark chippings? This is what that does. But with concrete. It swallows breeze blocks and spits out gravel. It's hard to get scale here, but this thing is huge. It has a 350hp engine and if you can see the black rail on the side, that's a waist high rail guarding a platform. Interestingly, I thought I saw someone moving this by remote control as well, like a Tomy car. Maybe that's not the case. Anyone use one of these? Anyway, impressive tin, and it was nice recycling as the Sports Hall is now going to be part of the hardcore under the new roads. :) I had a look out the window to see how the demolition was going in work and spotted this interesting piece of kit which I thought I'd share.
