The week between Christmas Day and New Year's Day is for me, the most restful (and wonderful) times of the year. The benches, near the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Ontario look like a fine place to rest weary feet during a winter evening walk. And yet, I have not once seen any take the opportunity to rest here regardless of the season or time of day. How fitting it would be to rest here a while and contemplate the year about to end, and the year about to begin. There are two times of year that I enjoy the most. This week (sometimes referred to as Boxing Week) is definitely one of them. A place to rest, and a very restful time of year.
