| Keywords: abstract texture black background I finally managed to capture this incredible nebula! I've uploaded this in slightly higher resolution than normal because it's quite sharp and has lots of fine detail and clouds on the inside areas if you want to zoom in. The Rosette Nebula is a massive ball of charged hydrogen gas and dust, forming stars rapidly. It's about 5,000 light years away so what you are looking at is how it looked 5,000 years ago and the light has taken this long to reach us. At that time on earth, it was the bronze age and the pyramids of Egypt were being built. About 30 minutes worth of 120 second exposures.
