I really thought I was leaving Flickr but, even after 10 years here, I did miss my friends here and following their photographs during the last few months. I should delete my previous "Saying Goodbye" post since it's so embarrassing now. The comments you left were amazing.... thank you so much. Now I know I could never try and leave again. No one would believe me! :) Regarding my post today. There has been more Grizzly Bear activity than normal this Summer and Fall... partly because of the better than average Salmon returns. In fact, I carried two cameras with me most of the Summer, my wide-angle setup, and my older Canon with a 500mm telephoto. I'm glad I had both cameras because I would not have had time to switch lenses to the telephoto lens. This Grizzly Bear was fishing for salmon in Campbell Creek and he clearly did not want me hanging around. I took a few quick photographs and slowly backed off. I think it was his 'stink eye' that concerned me the most. Of course, I did have my bear spray with me! But the Grizzly seemed far more interested in the salmon than me and Sailor. But, still, an exciting encounter. Well, I'm sorry!
