Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA - February 27, 2024: On Cambridge Common is a memorial to the American Civil War with a statue of Abraham Lincoln in a covered area near the base of the memorial. On top of the memorial is a statue of a soldier. Cambridge Common is a public park and National Historic Landmark. It is located near Harvard Square and borders on several parts of Harvard University.
Minuteman Statue of Lexington Massachusetts, US
Unveiled in 1900, funded by philanthropist Henry Rosenberg (1824-1893) upon his death willed to the city of Galveston, fifty thousand dollars for this monument to be built to honor the heroes of the victory of the Texas Revolution in 1836.  Lady Victory stands atop the monument holding a wreath stretched toward the north into the state of Texas.  This bronze sculpture was the second tallest at the time next to the William Penn sculpture atop Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
