In the foreground stands a volcanic rock stacked wall - the exterior wall of this ancient Sinagua Indian cliff dwelling site. In the background are piles of broken down flat stack rock interior walls that separated various living spaces - cooking areas, storage, sleeping and gathering. Pottery shards can still be found interspersed among deteriorating walls, along with other trace evidence of habitation - all of which must remain in place. This native culture combined hunting and gathering with agriculture, but the latter was challenging in this arrid, high desert wilderness terrain. The exact site location, which requires considerable effort to reach, is intentionally omitted. Its estimated age dates to 1300 AD - 1400 AD. Remote Sinagua Cliff Dwelling Site, Northern Arizona, 2013.
A more lavish branch of Leocófilo is an explosion of life and color. Its multiple flowers, clustered in bunches, form a lush cloud of petals that vividly contrast with the deep green of the leaves. This branch conveys a sense of vitality and joy, carrying with it the promise of luck and happiness.
