It is the mausoleum of King Mohammed V, who led Morocco to independence in 1956. The construction of this king's tomb began in 1962 after his death in 1961. It took 9 years to complete. It is an outstanding representative of architecture in Moroccan history. It is a modern Alaouite architectural style with white outlines, green tiled roofs, marble decorations inside, granite floors, and spectacular chandeliers that make the interior even more magnificent. This mausoleum is open to the world for free.
