Colonial Ascidian Didemnum psammatodes is native to Northern Australia and other tropical and subtropical regions in the Indo-West Pacific in a depth range from 1-15m. \nThe species is introduced to the Atlantic where it was first recorded in Guadeloupe in 1980-1981. Since then it has been reported in several areas, probably transported to the Atlantic through shipping and hull fouling.\nThe scattered large exhalant openings are distinctive for that species.
