The remains of the Roman temple of the Portico D'Ottavia in the ancient Jewish Ghetto, in the historic heart of the Eternal City. According to tradition, the fish market was held in this place in ancient Rome. The iconic Jewish Quarter of Rome, the oldest ghetto in Europe, is famous for the presence of hidden alleys and small squares, where it is easy to find small restaurants of Italian and Jewish cuisine, and remarkable Roman archaeological remains. The ghetto of Rome is located in one of the oldest districts of the Eternal City, located between the Capitoline Hill or Campidoglio (Roman Capitol) and the Tiber river.
