The Woomera National Aerospace and Missile Park, located in the centre of the village of Woomera, South Australia. This park features missiles and rockets that were developed and tested at Woomera over the last 60 years, as well as a number of aircraft which were used in trials.

Pair of supplementary fuel tanks on dolly trolleys near a taxiway and nearby fire extinguisher - 300 gallon centerline / belly tanks usable in aircraft such as the the F-16 fighting falcon. A German invention, drop tanks were introduced in the 1930s on fighter aircraft such as the Messerschmitt Bf 109. The mostly cylindrical, aerodynamically shaped tanks are generally attached to external load carriers under the fuselage, the wings or on wing tips. The aircraft's fuel supply is switched so that the fuel is first transferred from the drop tanks to the internal fuel tanks. Like any external load, external tanks affect the speed of an aircraft through their air resistance (drag) and the maneuverability of an aircraft through their weight and limited structural strength. Furthermore, they increase the radar cross section As the name implies these can be dropped in flight.
