Boston, Massachusetts, USA- May 20, 2022- A small  pilot boat cruises past the twelve egg 12   egg-shaped anaerobic digesters, each 90 feet in diameter and approximately 130 feet tall,  of the MWRA water treatment plant on Deer Island in Boston Harbor.  This plant processes most of the waste water of the City and surrounding communities and has played a huge role in cleaning the harbor.
