John Barry Statue in Fall Color\nIndependence Hall, Philadelphia\nJohn Barry (March 25, 1745 – September 13, 1803) was an officer in the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War and later in the United States Navy.   This bronze statue of John Barry was sculpted by Samuel Murray (1869-1941) in 1907.
Significant buildings include the Capitol, the White House, and the Library of Congress. Among the city’s hundreds of memorials and statues are the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
