These people are making their living in producing Pashmina, a very fine type of cashmere wool which comes from Cashmere goats. Location: Ladakhi part of the Changthang Plateau (literally: northern plains) in Jammu and Kashmir in northern India.

This photo was taken at the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar region, Tuv province, Mongolia. It is about Mongol gers (tents), kids, and a mini helicopter wreck. The Mongol children live in gers (tents) all the time.There is a time for them to run and to play around their gers, even though during the long cold winter.
A traditional nomadic herder’s ger, in the Kazakh area of the Altai Mountains in Western Mongolia. Held together with wooden poles, the woollen felt & canvas covered gers can be packed up & moved quickly & easily. They are set up in different livestock grazing areas depending on the season. They are home to families who live together in remote locations, moving each season. A painted door and patterned fabric give a personal touch to the temporary home.
