Plasmodium falciparum is the most dangerous form of malaria. The parasites can be seen as numerous little red dots in.this thick blood smear scattered around the white blood cells. The red blood cells have been destroyed by tge Giemsa stain, and can therefore not be seen. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes. Millions of people are killed by malaria every year.
