Native to south-western Australia, Boronia is small, woody, evergreen plant. Boronia grows generally in open forests and woodlands. It is well known for its distinctive perfumed smell, especially Boronia megastigma,  which is collected for flavor and fragrance use.

Boronia has cute round buds and bell-shaped or star-shaped flowers all over its thin branches.
