11th June 2023 - Largs, Scotland, UK: MV Loch Riddon, a small ro-ro ferry operated by CalMac, lowering its ramp to allow cars from the Isle of Cumbrae to drive onto the slip at Largs Pier. The ship was built in 1986 and is currently used as a second ferry on the Largs-Isle of Cumbrae route in summer months.

Aberdeen, Scotland - Aug 04, 2024:  The sailing ship SV Alvei, docked at the harbour in Aberdeen during her voyage to Montrose, where she was originally constructed.\n\nFirst launched on 20 May 1920 in Montrose, Scotland, the SV Alvei was built for the Scottish herring fishery, and fished up until World War 2 when she was commandeered for service as a minesweeper.  After the war, she was sold up to Denmark and then Norway as a coastal freighter.\n\nIn the 1980s Alvei was sold to a private buyer and converted to a topsail schooner, then sailed for forty years as an educational vessel, eventually being left in poor condition in Fiji after the owner died.\n\nIn 2022 she was recovered and refurbished, and now sails again with volunteer crews.
