This Grade I-listed triumphal arch was designed by Decimus Burton. It stands between Green Park and Hyde Park on Hyde Park Corner. It was built between 1816-1830, although it has been moved from its original location. It was built to commemorate Britain;s victory against Napoleon in the Napoleonic Wars. People can be seen in the background.

Ceremony of changing the guard - military men in black are standing at the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway, on a sunny summer day. The palace is the official residence of the present Norwegian monarch. It was built in 1825-1849 by design of architect Hans Linstow. The equestrian statue of Karl XIV Johan by the Norwegian sculptor Brynjulf Bergslien was unveiled on September 7, 1875. Guard mounting, or changing the guard, is a formal ceremony in which sentries providing ceremonial guard duties at important institutions are relieved by a new batch of sentries.
