Many brown-eared bulbuls, Japanese white-eye and other birds flock to the branches of Ligustrum obtusifolium in winter to eat black berries. Native to Japan, Korea and China, Ligustrum obtusifolium, commonly called border privet, is a perennial, deciduous shrub, which grows to 3 meters in height and has many stemmed branches.
