Heliamphora pulchella is endemic to some of the table-top mountains in the Guiana highlands. The inside of the pitchers is covered with white hairs.

Pitchers of Sarracenia purpurea, a carnivorous plant
Red trillium (Trillium erectum). Three petals, three sepals, three leaves. Also known as purple trillium, wake robin, and stinking Benjamin. The smell attracts carrion flies, but I don't notice it. One of my favorite early spring wildflowers, with many around my house in Connecticut's Northwest Hills. A challenge to photograph because it's only about a foot tall and usually nods toward the ground. So, it's hard to get under it to show the flower. Find one that looks up and you're in business! Nikon Z50, 105mm macro lens, f/18, 1/250th, ISO 900.
Swamp Spider Orchid, Caladenia paludosa, Wildflower Orchidaceae Westen Australia. This is an interesting spider orchid, as not only does it attract a wasp through sexual deception but it also produces small quantities of nectar on the surface of the labellum (which spider orchids are not supposed to do).
Cobra plant, also called Darlingtonia Californica and California pitcher, is the only species of the genus Darlingtonia of the New World pitcher plant (Sarraceniaceae). The cobra plant is native to swamps in mountain areas of northern California and southern Oregon and uses its carnivorous pitfall traps to supplement its nutritional requirements in poor soil conditions. The plant’s hooded pitcher₋like leaves resemble striking cobras and bear purple-red appendages that look similar to a snake’s forked tongue or a set of fangs.
The carnivorous pitcher plant Heliamphora pulchella is native to a few tepuis, sometimes forming large clusters of plants with numerous pitchers.
Western Dog Violet, hookedspur violet, early blue violet, sand violet, Viola adunca. Salt Point State Park, Sonoma County, California; Violaceae.
