Campsis radicans, commonly called trumpet vine or trumpet creeper, is a dense, vigorous, multi-stemmed, deciduous, woody, clinging vine that attaches itself to structures and climbs by aerial rootlets. Clusters of red trumpet-shaped flowers appear throughout the summer (June to September). Flowers are followed by long, bean-like seed pods which split open when ripe, releasing numerous 2-winged seeds for dispersal by the wind.

Bignonia capreolata, commonly known as Cross-vine, is a vigorous vine in the Bignoniaceae (trumpet creeper) family. It is a vigorous, woody vine that climbs by branched tendrils with adhesive disks. Axillary clusters (2-5 flowered cymes) of fragrant, trumpet-shaped, orange-red flowers appear in spring, lasting until early summer.
