The Basilica of Saint-Denisis a large former medieval abbey church and present cathedral in the commune of Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris. Louis IX (25 April 1214 – 25 August 1270), commonly revered as Saint Louis, was King of France from 1226 until his death in 1270. King Louis IX led a Crusade in the mid-1200s.
