Ghent (Belgium). August 2017. St. Nicholas Church is one of the oldest and most visible sights in Ghent, Belgium. The construction of the church began at the beginning of the 13th century. It was a replacement for the earlier Romanesque church. The construction of the new temple continued until the end of the 13th century. The temple was built in the Gothic style of Schelda.
