London, England 1800s: Newgate Prison a prison on Newgate Street and Old Bailey Street City of London, England.\n\nBuilt in the 12th century and remained in use for over 700 years, from 1188 to 1902. Executions by hanging took place on the public street in front of the prison until 1868.
Edmund Kean Memorial Plaque at the Corn Exchange on The Pantiles at Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. Kean was a ‘noted tragic actor’ who performed regularly at the Corn Exchange which was a theatre. He lived between 1787-1833.

The weathered sign for the 'Ye Olde Fighting Cocks' pub, allegedly the oldest pub in England. St Albans, Hertfordshire, England, UK. This  is outside the pub entrance. The pub was originally located close to St Albans Cathedral (when it was St Albans Abbey) and was moved to the present site sometime around 1539. The foundations are claimed to be even older, dating from around 793 but this is unconfirmed.
