Trentino (Italy). Between Passo Paradiso and Glacier Presena, the monument to the brotherhood, commemorating the Italian and Austrian soldiers who died during the First World War. Until 1918, Passo Paradiso (once called Passo del Monticello) was the border between the Kingdom of Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was the site of many bloody battles during the World War I. The Glacier Presena is located in the Presanella Group, south of the Tonale pass. Because of the global warming, from 2008, tarpaulins made of geotextile fabric preserve the snow and ice from melting during the summer.
