Architectural and sculptural composition of Manas was devoted to the main heroes of the same name Kyrgyz epic. The centre of the composition consists of Manas figure riding a horse Ak-Kul with full panoply, killing the dragon. The Ince Minare Medrese or Seminary of the Slender Minaret, (built 1267) is among Konya's finest and most impressive Seljuk Turkish architectural masterpieces. The minaret was exceptionally tall but it was partially destroyed by a lightning strike in 1901. Its finely decorated with typically Seljuk sky-blue tiles.
