Native plants reclaim their territory and bring biodiversity back to the area. Buried seeds from seasons past awaken, shooting up.

Flowers blue, rarely white, 12-20mm long, pendent bells in lax, branched panicles, occasionally a simple raceme; flowers erect in bud; calyx teethe linear, usually reflexed. Flowers white , veined and tinged with purplish-red. 10-18mm, tubular 2 lipped, the lower lip 3-lobed, borne in leafy racemes.\nHabitat: Wet places, meadows, marshes, river and stream banks, ditches.\nFlowering Season: May-October.\nDistribution: Belgium, Holland, France and Germany. From W and C Europe to W Asia.\n\nThis is a rare Species in the Netherlands. The Picture is made in my Garden Pond.\nThe Plant is Poisonous but in the past used as Herbal Medicine.$

Mahonia japonica is an evergreen shrub, which has been extensively cultivated in Japan and is commonly called Japanese mahonia, although it is native to China. Fragrant yellow flowers in loose, spreading to pendant racemes bloom in late winter to early spring (March-April). Flowers are followed by ornamentally attractive grape-like bunches of small waxy fruits which mature to blue-black in late spring to early summer.

Basal leaves in a lax rosette, elliptical, broadest above the middle, scarcely stalked; stem leaves lanceolate, pointed. Flowers bright gray-blue, saucer shaped, 3-5mm; calyx closed in fruit, the tube with numerous hooked hairs. Nutlets dark brownish-black.\nHabitat: Dry places, arable soils, dunes, to 2000m.\nFlowering Season: April-October.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except Spitsbergen.\n\nThis is a common Species in the Netherlands.$

Myosotis, commonly called ‘Forget-me-nots”, is a genus of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae and produces clusters of tiny blue, pink or white flowers. It is in bloom from late March to early June in the temperate zone.
