Eyam, United Kingdom - January 1, 2016: In 1665 residents of these cottages succumbed to the Bubonic Plague outbreak in the Peak District village of Eyam in Derbyshire, UK. The  Bubonic plague ran its course over 14 months and one account states that it killed at least 260 villagers, with only 83 surviving out of a population of 350.
Bonsall is an ancient beautiful village.  It looks gorgeous in all weathers including a rainy day in late October.

Holy Trinity Church at Ashford-in-the-Water in Peak District National Park of Derbyshire, England. Dating back to the 12th century, a few 13th-century components are still to be seen. The south door has the original Norman decorative stone arch tympanum. Between 1868-1870 the church was remodeled.
