Castlebay is the main village and a community council area on the island of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The village is located on the south coast of the island, and overlooks a bay in the Atlantic Ocean dominated by Kisimul Castle, as well as nearby islands such as Vatersay.
Stanley, East Falkland, Falkland Islands: headquarters of the Falkland Islands Company Ltd. (FIC), FIH Group, on Crozier Place - the largest commercial player in the Falkland Islands, and is involved in a number of business segments, Retail sales through several stores in Stanley and Mount Pleasant, accommodation, shipping, port services, property, insurance, etc. The company was established in 1851 by Alexander Ross Lafone and was originally involved in agriculture and trade. For over 100 years, the main business was the sale of wool from the company's many sheep farms. By 1945 FIC owned 4,900 km² of land in the Falkland Islands and operated both business and shipping. In 1962, the company was listed on the London Stock Exchange. After several sales, the company became independent again in 1997 through the establishment of Falkland Islands Holdings. In the meantime, the agricultural properties had been sold to the Falkland Islands authorities.
