Built in 1895, this historic structure features ornate cast-iron grillwork, distinctive silver domes, and a veranda on the second floor, which almost encircles the entire building. Built as the headquarters of the Barbados Mutual Life Assurance Society (now part of Sagicor Financial Corporation), one of the oldest insurance companies in the Caribbean, established in 1840, the building has housed various financial institutions over the years. The building remains a notable architectural icon in Bridgetown's historic district, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
