Shortsnout Filefish Paramonacanthus curtorhynchos occurs in the tropical Indo-West Pacific from Bay of Bengal to the Indo-Malayan region and Palau, New Caledonia and Fiji, south to Australia in protected areas, on open, silty sand bottoms, max. length 11.3cm. \nThis juvenile specimen might be 4cm long. Adult Shortsnout Filefishes occur deeper, in a depth range from 39-90m. Young fish grow near the shore and only later venture into the depths.\nTriton Bay, West Papua Province, Indonesia, \n3°54'41.052 S 134°7'18.204 E at 15m depth

Tasselled Wobbegong Eucrossorhinus dasypogon occurs in Eastern Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Northern Australia. This ovoviviparous species can reach more than 3.5m length, common length is less than 2m. The tough skin is used sometimes for leather. \nTasselled Wobbegong is threatened by extensive coral reef habitat destruction (pollution and dynamite fishing), as well as expanding fisheries. A considerable section of its habitat is protected in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. \nThe species is primarily nocturnal. This specimen was encountered at 3m depth during night time. By burrowing into the sand and with sand on its fins, the sharks outline becomes almost completely invisible to prey.\nTriton Bay, Kaimana Regency, Indonesia, 3°56'18.2099 S 134°7'10.8768 E at 3m depth
