Namibe province, Angola: 'Serra da Leba' mountain range, also called the Humpata Plateau, is a mountainous formation between the borders of the provinces of Namibe and Huíla, considered an extension of the Serra da Chela range. Leba Road or Leba Descent, a grandiose piece of infrastructure, the Estrada da Leba, or Descida da Leba, at the entrance to the municipality of Humpata, was a landmark in road engineering in the 1960s when it was built. Climbing the steep slope of the Serra da Leba with its  system of hairpin bends, it made it possible to shorten the road distances between Moçamedes and Sá da Bandeira, later renamed Lubango.
