On November 7, 1811, the Shawnee prophet Tenskwatawa stood and chanted from a rock formation known today as Prophet’s Rock. He thought his chant was successful and no harm would come to the Shawnee.  However, the spell did not work, and the Battle of Tippecanoe occurred where the warriors were defeated.

Union Brigadier General G.K. Warren defended Little Round Top, which was vital to the defense of the Union lines at Gettysburg on July 2, 1863.  His efforts are considered to be one of the pivital points of the war. The Statue was dedicated on August 9, 1888. The statue was designed by Karl Gerhardt of Hartford, CT, and cast by the Henry Bonnard Bronze Company of New York.  It is eight feet high, and weighs 1,500 pounds.

The Gettysburg Battlefield is the area of the July 1–3, 1863, military engagements of the Battle of Gettysburg within and around the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Battle Field, the Gettysburg National Military Park had 1,320 monuments, 410 cannon, 148 historic buildings, 2½ observation towers, and 41 miles of avenues, roads, and lanes. It is one of the largest collections of outdoor sculpture in the world.
