Nouméa, South Province, New Caledonia: D'Entrecasteaux oceanic patrol ship - first of its class, named after the French navigator Antoine Bruny d'Entrecasteaux, an overseas support and assistance vessel (BSAOM), aka multi-mission vessel (B2M), designed to perform sovereignty, law enforcement and logistics missions - developed and produced by Kership, built at the Piriou shipyard in Concarneau. The d'Entrecasteaux class vessels can be armed with two 12.7x99 mm (.50 cal.) machine guns.
Salvador (English: Savior)[n 1] is a Brazilian municipality and capital city of the state of Bahia. Situated in the Zona da Mata in the Northeast Region of Brazil, Salvador is recognized throughout the country and internationally for its cuisine, music, and architecture. The African influence in many cultural aspects of the city makes it a center of Afro-Brazilian culture. As the first capital of Colonial Brazil, the city is one of the oldest in the Americas and one of the first planned cities in the world, having been established during the Renaissance period. HMAS Adelaide, L01, a Canberra Class amphibious assault ship of the Royal Australian Navy docked at Garden Island naval base in Sydney Harbour.  The scaffolding from around her communication towers has been removed, the rust around her anchor and hull has been removed or painted over and she is ready for her next voyage.
