Hiroshima, Japan - May 22, 2015: Japanese school girls visiting the Children's Peace Monument in Hiroshima. Dedicated to Sadako Sasaki, a girl who was only 2 at the time of the bombing. She survived but contracted leukemia and died at age 12. Her classmates were motivated to have this monument built as a memorial to all children killed by the atomic bomb.
