Roskilde, Denmark - June 23, 2013: Roskilde cathedral is the fourth church on a hill in the ancient town of Roskilde, Denmark. The first church was build by Harald Bluetooth in the 10th century. The construction of the present cathedral began in a.d. 1170. It is built in french gothic style using red bricks. Various chapels in various styles for the kings sarcophagus' have been added to the cathedral over the centuries. The vast majority of the Danish kings and queens are burried in Roskilde cathedral. Roskilde cathedral is on the UNESCO world heritage list.
