Hammershus, Northern Europe's largest castle ruin on Bornholm, dates back to the late 13th century in black and white. Originally built by Archbishop Jens Grand, it played a key role in Bornholm's history. Notably, King Christian IV's daughter, Leonora Christina, and her husband were imprisoned there in 1660-61.
