Driekopseiland (Island) is a rock engraving site located in the bed of the Riet River near Plooysburg, close to Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa. At this site, nearly 4,000 exposed individual engravings are carved into glaciated basement rock. It is estimated that the petroglyphs were probably engraved in two distinct periods, the first about 2500 years ago, and the latter more or less 1000 years ago.
