Knowth, Newgrange / Crewbane, County Meath, Ireland: Knowth burial mound (in Irish Cnobha), the site of a Neolithic passage tomb in the Boyne Valley. There is some evidence that activity continued at the Knowth site into the late Neolithic and Bronze Age. The site belongs to the tomb complex of Brú na Bóinne. It lies approximately 1 km northwest of Newgrange, and 2 km west of Dowth. UNESCO world heritage site.

Meadow rock

Monument at Stonehenge was built by neolithic people about 5000 years ago. The sarsen rocks, sand stones harder than granite, were moved over 25 miles, from the Avon river, to the site on the Salisbury plain, by teams of men. These rocks weighed up to forty tons and were probably moved on wooden rollers shaped from felled trees, as shown in the picture.
