Melbourne, Australia - August 24, 2024 : James Cook’s Cottage, also known as Captain Cook's Cottage, in Fitzroy Gardens. \nThe cottage was constructed in 1755 in the English village of Great Ayton. It was deconstructed and moved to Melbourne in 1934 by the philanthropist Sir Russell Grimwade.
A row of architecturally typical cottages alongside the village green in the popular tourist location of Burnham Market in North Norfolk in East Anglia. The village has many Georgian style properties and the ubiquitous locally quarried building block of so many Norfolk cottages, properties faced in hand-knapped flint stones, as can be seen in the cottages to the right.  Many of the properties are available to rent for holidays.
