It is widely known as the Cattedrale di San Gennaro, in honour of Saint Januarius, the city's patron saint.. Naples, is the regional capital of Campania and the third-largest city of Italy, after Rome and Milan, with a population of almost 1million. It's the second-most populous metropolitan area in Italy and the 7th-most populous urban area in the European Union. In 1995, the historic center of Naples was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
