Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a navigable bridge that carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee in northeast Wales.
March 22nd. 2021. This is Kingswood Junction, between the Stratford and Grand Union Canals on a sunny day in Spring. There are narrow boat - barges - houseboats in the picture. There are no recognisable people in the picture.

Chirk Aqueduct is part of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal World Heritage site, which stretches from Chirk to the Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen itself. Completed in 1801 by William Jessop and Thomas Telford, the aqueduct is 710 foot (220 m) long and carries the canal 70 feet above the beautiful River Ceiriog across 10 circular masonry arches. The slightly later Chirk Railway Viaduct runs parallel.

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee in the Vale of Llangollen in north east Wales. The 18-arched stone and cast iron structure designed by Thomas Telford is for use by narrowboats and was completed in 1805 having taken ten years to design and build. It is the longest aqueduct in Great Britain and the highest canal aqueduct in the world.
