The Simón Bolívar Monument on the Boyacá Bridge, Tunja, was created by sculptor Ferdinand von Miller and inaugurated on July 20, 1884. This bronze work depicts Simón Bolívar, supported by five women who symbolize the five nations liberated by him: Colombia, Venezuela, Perú, Ecuador and Bolivia. This set of bronze sculptures also includes four angels announcing the battle of the Boyacá Bridge and the liberating feat to the four cardinal points and a figure of Clio, the muse of history, holding a manuscript.

Villa de Leyva, Colombia - November 26, 2017: The Parque Ricaurte in the historic 16th Century town of Villa de Leyva, in Andean, Colombian Department of Boyacá. The Square in view, is dedicated to Antonio Ricaurte (1786-1814), a Captain in Simón Bolívar's Army and a national hero in both Colombia and Venezuela. He blew himself up during the quest for independence from Spain by lighting a barrel of gunpowder; it destroyed the whole armoury, killed several soldiers and was a turning point of the battle for independence. He has been immortlised in the last verse of the Colombian National Anthem. He was born in Villa de Leyva. The town founded in 1572, and located at just over 7000 feet above mean sea level on the Andes Mountains, Villa de Leyva was declared a National Monument in 1954 to protect its colonial architecture and heritage. The municipality and governorship of İzmir decided to build a monument dedicated to Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. In 1929, the statue of the monument was commissioned to Pietro Canonica an Italian sculptor who had formerly created another Ataturk statue in istanbul in 1928. The base of the statue was designed by Turkish architect Asim KOMURCU and the statue was erected on 27 July 1932.

The monument to the bandeirante, symbol of the square, was inaugurated on November 9, 1942. The monument was created by the plastic artist Armando Zago in response to the request of the Academic Center XI de Agosto of the Faculty of Law of São Paulo, to be donated to the people Goiás.
