Alacahöyük Ancient City - Corum - TURKEY
Yesemek was the largest quarry and sculpture workshop in the Near East between the fourth quarter of the 2nd millennium BC and the 8th century BC. It is located on the Karatepe ridge of the Yesemek Village, 22 kilometers southeast of the Islahiye District.

The Ince Minare Medrese or Seminary of the Slender Minaret, (built 1267) is among Konya's finest and most impressive Seljuk Turkish architectural masterpieces. The minaret was exceptionally tall but it was partially destroyed by a lightning strike in 1901. Its finely decorated with typically Seljuk sky-blue tiles.
