The Astrodome was the world's first domed sports stadium and was home to the Houston Astros, the Houston Oilers and the Houston Rodeo. This publicly owned building has sat completely abandoned and unused since 2008 and is slated for a major taxpayer funded renovation to potentially create a domed city park in upcoming years.
