A Heavy Load Carrier (HLC) ship, also known as a Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV), is a specialized type of cargo ship designed to transport very large and heavy cargo that cannot be handled by standard ships. These vessels are equipped with reinforced decks and powerful cranes to load and unload oversized items such as oil rigs, large machinery, power plant components, and other massive structures. HLC ships are essential in industries such as construction, energy, and maritime engineering, where they support the global movement of heavy and complex cargo.
